Have you aged out of camp but still want to attend the program? Join our Jr. Recreation Leader program where you can obtain volunteer work experience and training while assisting at our Summer Kids Camp. Jr. Recreation Leaders support staff in facilitating games, enrichments, crafts, outdoor play, and more!
Shifts are 5 hour increments with a minimum of 50 hours to complete within a 2 week period.
Days: Monday - Friday Dates: June 13 – August 5 Time: 8:30am – 1:30pm or 12:30pm – 5:30pm Location: Kay F. Dahill Community Center Ages: 12 – 15 years old (7th grade – 10th grade) Fee: $100.00 Registration: Participants must apply (see instructions below) and be approved before registration. NHRPD will contact the participant if they were chosen as an applicant.
JRL’s Application Process:
1. Submit an application HERE. 2. NHRPD will reach out to schedule an interview (virtual or in person). 3. If accepted into the program, participants will be sent a link to pay and fully register for the program. a. This includes selecting your summer schedule.
All participants must attend a mandatory 3-hour training during the week of June 6-10 (official date and time TBD).
