Maintenance Minute
During October, the North Highlands Recreation and Park District Maintenance Team made significant progress on two exciting projects that will enhance recreational opportunities for our community in 2027.
At Freedom Park, our staff revitalized the splash pad surface, transforming it from a dull gray to a vibrant blue. With additional amenities being installed, we look forward to providing residents with a refreshed and exciting splash pad experience in the summer of 2027.
Our Maintenance Team also continued making progress on the District’s upcoming disc golf course, beginning construction of the tee boxes. This new recreational amenity is expected to open in 2027, offering residents another great way to get outdoors and enjoy our parks.
These projects reflect our Maintenance Team’s continued dedication to improving our parks and creating welcoming, enjoyable spaces for the community.
