Community News

 Sierra Creek Park Update

The future site of Sierra Creek Park is located at Watt and Davidson Drive, Antelope.  This 7+ acre undeveloped site is currently under design. The park design elements include an interpretive walking trail system, a community garden, picnic and shade structures for family and group gatherings, two pedestrian bridges, exercise stations, ADA accessible children’s play structures, parking lot, free play turf areas, outdoor performance amphitheater, park restrooms, art structures, etc. 

The final design completion date is scheduled for early fall 2023.  The project is scheduled to go out to bid in late fall 2023 with construction scheduled to begin in early 2024.

North Highlands Narrative

 “North Highlands Narrative” is a NEW citizen award program sponsored by NHRPD! Its purpose is to shine light on our everyday citizens and local organizations that make a positive impact within the community through acts of service or events. Anyone can nominate an individual or group. Nominations will be accepted all year long but will be selected quarterly (every Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring season).

  • Live within the North Highlands Recreation and Park District boundary.
  • Residents of all ages can be nominated including, community groups and events.

Freedom Park Pavilion Rentals

Freedom Park Pavilion rentals are available to reserve! This location is excellent for a birthday party, family reunion, company picnic, or any social event that calls for some fun in the park. Splash Pad Operating Hours

The splash pad will be turned on every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm - 7:00pm beginning the first weekend in May.

Splash Pad operation days and times are subject to change based upon water restrictions set by the state, county, and/or city, or repairs/damages.

Board Meeting
