Community News

Freedom Park

Freedom Park renovations are wrapping up! Thanks to American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, staff were able to remove outdated structures and replace them with modern, inclusive features. Replacement priorities were guided by feedback gathered through multiple community outreach efforts. Thank you for your continued support as we improve this space for all. Updated splash pad features are anticipated to be completed in 2026.

Memorial Park

Join us this spring at Memorial Park for a community Tree Planting Event! We’re looking for volunteers to help plant trees that will enhance the park, provide shade, and support a healthier environment. This is a great opportunity to give back, get your hands dirty, and make a lasting impact in the community. Date and time to be announced.

Karl Rosario Park

We’re excited to announce that after more than 10 years, Karl Rosario Park is getting a fresh new look! The new improvements will include:

  • A play structure themed after the park’s iconic 100-ft mural
  • A brand-new inclusive play structure for all ages and abilities
  • A modern swing set
  • Outdoor adult fitness equipment
  • Stay tuned for updates as we transform this beloved neighborhood park!

This project is expected to be completed by early 2026.
