Community News

Volunteer Coaches Needed!

We are looking for eager individuals to become volunteer Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches for our upcoming Youth Basketball League. No previous coaching experience required, and time commitments will consist of a one-hour weeknight practice, and one game each Saturday. A great way to make a positive impact for the youth of the community!

Practices start the week of February 5. Games will be held each Saturday between February 17 - March 30.

If interested, please fill out the volunteer packet found on our website: www.nhrpd.org/volunteer

For questions about the volunteer positions or the Youth Basketball League, please contact Chris at chris@nhrpd.org.

North Highlands Narrative

North Highlands Narrative is a citizen award program sponsored by the North Highlands Recreation and Park District. Its purpose is to shine light on our everyday citizens and local organizations that make a positive impact within the community through acts of service or events.

On a quarterly basis awards are given to citizens or community groups residing within NHRPD’s District for their outstanding contributions to the community. Please consider taking the time to recognize and nominate an individual or group whose contributions make North Highlands a better place to live.

Do you know someone that should be nominated? Submit your nomination by January 6th to be considered!
