Spring Break Science Camp

A week away from school does not have to be a week away from learning! If you are looking for a fun, fit, and educational experience for your child during spring break, look no further! Have your kiddos grab their beakers and safety glasses to join the North Highlands Recreation and Park district for Spring Break Science Camp! Your child will enjoy a wide variety of fun science themed activities, games, and crafts, a field trip to the Powerhouse Science Center, an exciting interactive science presentation by a wacky tacky scientist and much more! NHRPD’s enthusiastic and talented staff will provide your child with an experience that is out of this world.

Weekly Fee: $125.00

Ages: K – outgoing 6th grade Child’s current grade (K – 6th)
Location: Capehart Gym (7916 Aztec Way, Antelope)
Register: Last day to register: Monday, March 19. Registrations can be made online at www.nhrpd.org or at the District office located at 6040 Watt Avenue, North Highlands. Registration is limited to 35 participants. Waivers must be signed and submitted with payment.
Items needed: Closed toed shoes, clothes suitable for getting messy, water bottle, lunch, 2 snacks daily, and sunscreen.

 

Summer Kids Camp

Spend your summer with North Highlands Recreation and Park District’s Summer Kids Camp! Our camp is designed with your child in mind by including a wide variety of games, sports, activities, crafts, fieldtrips, water games, and so much more, to appeal to each child. Campers are led and encouraged by our talented staff to learn and discover their own unique talents and skills. Staff provides campers with a structured, safe, and enriching environment in which campers are sure to have an awesome time making new friends and exciting memories from NHRPD’s Summer Kids Camp!

Camp Schedule

Field Trips
Field trips are typically held on Thursdays and are subject to change. Campers are transported by charter bus, district transportation, or walking. Campers choosing to not participate will not be provided alternative arrangements. Weekly fee includes the cost of fieldtrips, daily fee campers are subject to additional fees for field trips.

Regular Daily Rate (8am-5pm) - $30/day
Extended Daily Rate (7am-6pm) - $36/day
Regular Weekly Rate (8am-5pm) - $130/week

Ages: Kindergarten – 6th (Key: campers entering Kindergarten and campers just finishing 6th grade)

Recreation in the Park

Get outside and enjoy the park! Rec in the Park is a FREE drop-in program for children of all ages. Recreation in the Park provides opportunities for children to participate in various activities, sports, crafts, and games. Participants will have a blast enjoying the outdoors, making new friends, and taking in the fresh air!

Program Dates: Mon-Thurs, June 4 to June 28
Time: 9:00am-12:00pm
Locations: Ridgepoint Park
Fee: FREE

 


Raccoon Club

Raccoon Club is a fun, structured after-school program for grades K-8 at Ridgepoint School. Students are divided into age groups, and NHRPD staff will lead children in activities such as academic enrichment, physical education, homework time, sports, arts and crafts, and performing arts. We offer flexible scheduling and monthly discounts.

Dates: Every day of the Twin Rivers Unified School District Academic Calendar

Time: End of School – 6:00pm
Grades: K-8
Location: Ridgepoint School (4680 Monument Drive, Sacramento)
Fee: Please see monthly breakdown. Daily rate is $15.00, weekly rate averages out to $13.00/day, and monthly rate averages out to $10.50/day.

Child must be registered before 5pm of the previous school day. No day-of registration will be permitted. All registration is final, no switching of days is allowed. Payment is accepted in person at the NHRPD District Office (6040 Watt Ave, North Highlands). For additional information, call (916) 332-7440.
