Located in the McClellan Park Complex, this newest
park in our district offers many amenities to the residents of
North Highlands
Freedom Park is an enjoyable 27 acre park that offers many
amenities: there is a covered group picnic area with
bar-b-que's and restrooms in a shaded setting with off-street
parking. The play apparatus is shaded and geared for
children aged 5-12 and has scattered picnic areas nearby for
the family. The horseshoe pits and full basketball court
are adjacent to the picnic area area.
On the west side of the park, there is a wonderful surfaced
track with a large soccer/football area in the middle.
There is plenty of free play space and a walking path between
the park, the track, and the lighted softball complex (to the
south of the park). The softball complex is managed by
DF Sports and offers 4 fields for tournaments and
leagues.
