Capehart Youth Center Complex:

Located in the old McClellan AFB housing area near Watt Avenue and Elverta Road, these facilities named “Capehart” became part of the North Highlands Recreation and Park District in the Fall of 2000. These splendid facilities include a generous regulation gymnasium. The Youth Center is operated by Something Extra Preschool.

Behind the gymnasium is the swimming pool, a large competitive/instructional pool. A shaded grass area is a perfect spot to get out of the sun. Next to the pool are several acres of baseball diamonds, a soccer field and a concession trailer.

The gym will be the hub of many of the District's Youth Programs. The District is very excited at being able to provide such a wonderful facility to the community - especially the youth. The center is located in Antelope, which lacks a facility of this kind.
